We have provided safety and fire protection loss control surveys ranging from warehouse/distribution occupancies to utility and petroleum facilities. We routinely tailor loss control activities to specific clients or industry types, such as healthcare, aerospace, electronics, hospitality, church, and contractor programs. acensium is able to provide fire protection engineering and technical risk management services in support of the Client’s loss prevention and control program. Specifically, acensium can provide fire protection and safety surveys for selected locations, as well as specification development and design review. In addition, we can provide training and policy/procedure development in response to risk management requirements. During loss control surveys we tailor our risk review and report development to fit both budget and risk management objectives. While we have an array of reporting templates, before committing to survey a location we identify and adjust our activities and the final report to meet the client’s objectives. We will, of course, use client formats when available to make our services as seamless to your operations as possible.
During surveys, audit or assessment, the facility can be reviewed for potential fire hazards, safety features, and potential threats to the public or environment from hazardous chemicals, based upon the needs of the, client and coverage provided. Recommendations, with alternatives, are developed according to applicable codes as well as industry specific guides. Testing of fire protection, detection, security and fire alarms, water supplies, fire pumps or related equipment, and other safety related systems can be verified by a physical tour of the facility in combination with a review of records at the site, depending upon the nature of the risk and services desired by the client. In addition, life safety items such as maintenance of egress passages and aisles, exit marking, fire doors, and emergency lighting can be reviewed. acensium. representatives can be available during the surveys or as part of special programmatic training to assist local management in maintaining procedural elements of the loss control program, such as housekeeping inspections, fire prevention inspections, lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry, fall protection, machine guarding, and flammable/combustible transient materials control.
